Is this legal advice?
No. CaseFile AI gives legal information and preparation material from your own documents. Nothing it produces is legal advice, and using it creates no advocate–client relationship. Every draft is for an enrolled advocate's review and sign-off.
Can it cite judgments?
No. The product does not cite case law and blocks citations in its answers. A judgment named in your own uploaded documents is your document's content, not our citation.
What does the AI see?
Text in which phone numbers, email addresses, PAN, Aadhaar, account and IFSC numbers, UPI IDs, vehicle numbers and GSTIN are replaced by tokens such as ACCT_A. Names and addresses are tokenised only in the forms the rules recognise; any other reaches the AI as written. A page that cannot be read from its own text, such as a scan, can be read in full by the AI provider for OCR before any masking; masking applies to the text read from it. Processing is by Anthropic's API in the US, with no intermediary.
Can I delete everything?
Yes — an owner of your chamber can. Delete a matter and its documents, case file, chat, drafts and encryption keys are removed, with a receipt listing what was removed. Audit entries referencing the matter are deleted with it and counted. A nightly copy of the database and the files is kept in AWS Mumbai, and the database provider keeps daily backups in Bangalore. Each copy is kept for about 7 days, then expires — so a deleted matter stays in backups until they expire.
Which Acts are covered?
Sections of the Negotiable Instruments Act, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Companies Act and General Clauses Act, plus transition sections of the IPC and CrPC. Each section shows its verification label. Application is for your advocate.
How do I get access?
